I am a Boston transplant of 15 years and live in Lake Odessa MI. I’m Divorced and my children live with me half of the week. Their names are Lauren 15 Devin 3, and David 2. Lauren is in her first year of high school and is a member of her high school band. She plays the flute, and I must say so myself she is an excellent player. She is a great young lady and so far knock on wood hasn’t been a problem at all. She is a great big sister and her little brothers look up to her. Devin is excited about heading to pre-school in April.  He is fascinated with trains and amazed that the sun wakes up most mornings and goes to sleep each evening too. Recently he spotted a tornado watch symbol on TV and yelled out “Dad tomato warning” David, is a feisty little one who may be half his brothers size but that doesn’t stop him from letting everyone know he is the boss. He is known as the left over guy at the dinner table. It amazes me how much he can eat, especially since he is only knee high.

I have been a self-employed painting contractor for many years and decided last year what I wanted to do when I grew up. I returned to college after a 10-year absent and will finish my degree in criminal justice within the next two years. I am a loss prevention detective, which falls into my criminal justice goals. I was a member of the 468^th Fire Fighters Engineer of the United States Army Reserves, stationed out of Danvers MA. I have extensive Training in structural/aircraft/forestry/arson investigations. I also was a certified federal fire protection trainer. I was involved in aircraft crash and rescue procedures and fire fighting maneuvers/investigation throughout the U.S. and Canada. I also have had a National Security Clearance.

Presently, I am the chairman of the Lakewood Community Project in which we are involved in trying to have the Village of Lake Odessa purchase some green space for a recreation facility. I am also a:

When I am not involved in local activities, working, or in school, I enjoy taking my boys for a stroll in their wagon or sled, and hitting a local coffee house with Lauren. My past hobbies have included gardening and hiking which I hope to reintroduce into my life this spring. I also enjoy playing Santa professionally for businesses in West MI, and also donate this service to those unable to afford it. Another hobby is computer software and web designs.
